Step 1 tells us that we are powerless and that only an act of providence, a miracle, will relieve us of the merciless obsession. The rest of the steps are all about seeking a miracle. We must form a relationship with our Higher Power. This meeting will be all about how we can build up our reserve of faith and grow spiritually.  Bring your big book and your 12 and 12!
